Using the two website above, answer the following questions on a piece of paper (don't forget your name at the top!) Answers will be collected on Thursday for assessment.

Click the links on the page to read more information about each type of precipitation:

1. What is precipitation?

2. Name 4 different kinds of precipitation and give me one or two sentences to explain what each one is.

3. Precipitation always forms as snow in the clouds, but when it falls to the Earth, sometimes we get snow, sometimes we get sleet, and sometimes we get rain. Please explain why this happens.

4. Draw and label a diagram to show the process of precipitation. This should include: humidity/water vapor, evaporation, condensation, clouds, thunderclouds, precipitation.

Please go to the link listed below. Read the description of adverbs and complete question #1.

You must choose 10 of the adverbs from the list at the bottom of that website. Choose ones that you don't already know. You must then use a dictionary from home (or a website like http://dictionary.reference.com/ ) to find the definition of these words. You must copy down the definitions onto a piece of paper as well. Then you must write meaningful sentences using those words. When you are finished, you should have 10 adverbs, 10 definitions, and 10 sentences. This will be collected for assessment on Thursday.
