b) Read the story Chayo's Andean Home. Click on the illustartions to go to the next page. Click on the edge of the page with text to bo back to the previous page.
c) Answer the following questions on your Reading Journal:
1) In what ways are you an Chayo alike? In what ways are you different?
2) Chayo is a very busy girl! Make a list of all the responsibilities she has on the farm.
3) Why is Chayo ALWAYS happy when school starts? Do you feel the same about school?
4) Of all the birds Chayo observes, which one do you like the most? Why?
5) Why do some birds live in Colombia for only half of the year?
6) Why do you think Chayo believes the Oso Andino should be called the spectacled bear? Look up the word spectacles on the dictionary if you do not have a clue! That will help you!
