Week of March 15-19th

MATH:
Today we reviewed Perimeter, Area, and Volume in preparation for tomorrow's test. Students were informed Friday (and today) that there would be 2 parts to the test. The first part will be Volume and the second part an assessment of all 3: perimeter, area, and volume.
Wednesday we will be starting our next unit in Math: Division. We will be looking at rules of divisability then eventually into patterns in division as well as estimating. First test next week (not sure of exact date).


Timed Test: This week's test will cover 3 AND 4 as divisors. Please review these daily with your child.


SCIENCE:
We continue with our unit in Rainforests. Tomorrow we will discuss 'Animals of the Rainforest', Wednesday will be 'Food Chains'. Thursday will be a review day and then students will be tested on Friday. Next week we will hopefully be wrapping up our Rainforest unit.


PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES WITH MS. WILLETT:
Due to the amount of students and parents that I have, I would like to begin conferences before the scheduled date of next Friday, March 26th. If you would like to meet beforehand (especially those who know they are going away for Semana Santa and won't be able to make the conferences), please e-mail me to set up a meeting time (swillett@amschool.org). Meetings can begin after this Wednesday when students' third quarter grades have been input into the computer. Thanks.
